Basic mechanisms underlying balance control under static and dynamic conditions

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
we are happy to apprise you to that a Conference will take place in Pavia, Italy, as a Satellite Symposium to the next Meeting of the Intl Soc Posture & Gait Res in Bologna.
Goal of this Symposium is to bring together old and new friends active in this field and encourage younger scientists to present new work and ideas.

The Satellite Symposium will deviate from the main ISPGR meeting because it will allow to:

• expand selected topics of Basic Mechanisms of Balance Control;
• devote more time to questions and discussion during both the sessions and the free intervals;
• evade ‘translational’ research and consider the experiments of nature as a tool for understanding the operation of basic mechanisms;
• provide opportunities for networking on current research;
• freely talk about chances for advancements or progresses in this field;
• further, if the necessity will become obvious, consider launching an advanced School on Basic Mechanisms of Balance Control.
